Hello and welcome to WireDecan's Kennels website.
My name is Joanne and together with my Husband Silvio and our daughter Justine own WireDecan's Kennel of Pugs. We are Pug Lovers and breeders and have been so for a long time.
Our Kennel started around 5 years ago although we have been adoring pugs from a much longer time. Because our daughter was too young we decided we had to wait until time comes to be able to really own a pug without our daughter hurting it. Time came around 4 years ago when my husband surprised me by getting me my first pug Maya. A truly beautiful bitch in silver fawn colour. With Maya we started attending dog shows but we never showed our pug as I was too shy to go on the ring. When Maya was on her third heat we decided that we should have another pug and since Maya was a stunning bitch with a very good temperment we decided that we should breed her to have an offspring from her. We were very much undecided as we wanted a stunning dog, of nice fawn colour with a very good temperament. The first dog I noted who fulfilled these criteria was still too young so my search had to begin once again. We found this beautiful dog, Hollyfid. Hollyfid filled my criteria to perfection and Maya produced 6 puppies after a very long night! From this stunning litter we decided to keep another bitch which we called Candy as she was so sweet.
From then on we were conquered by pugs and couldn't live without them. Up till 2008 we had 6 pugs all fawn but on the 20th of March 2008 I assisted a black female pug push into this world a black stunning pug and couldn't resist the cuteness of it. So I got that also. It is called Thunder because when he was being born a roar of thunder was heard and thus his name. You can say that he became my daughter's favorite and he terrible close to her.
Last year because of Thunder we started showing some of our pugs and with very good results. Justine takes part in the Child handler competition with Thunder during the various Dog Shows we have and she is First most of the time and second other times.
